Tomato paste comes in little cans and yet when a recipe calls for only 1 or 2 tablespoons - what is one supposed to do with the rest!?  I used to measure out 1 Tb scoops, place hem on a tray and freeze them. Once frozen, I bundled them into a freezer bag for future use.

I thought it was a clever idea - still do!

But, ever since I discovered tomato paste in a tube - that's the choice for optimal convenience.
