Vincenzo's
150 Caroline Street South
Waterloo, ON, N2L 0A5

One of the most amazing collections of food and foodie stuff. Around since 1967, but only revealed to me last year. Stock is varied and on trend. Found so many items I was hunting for. Like the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. (If it's a journey to get there, plan to eat at Bauer Kitchen next door - and take home some Q4 water. Great Illy coffee and sweets at Sabletine, just steps away.)

Casa Toscana
16 Main St W,
Grimsby, ON, L3M 1R4  [map]

A little gem brought to my attention by a good friend. I know several people who have done one of their fabulous Trips to Tuscany. The wee shop sells olive oil, balsamic and cheeses - most noteworthy - heavenly Burrata - flown in from Italy, bi-weekly on Thursday. That coincides with Grimsby's Farmers' Market. One of the market stalls is de la Terre bread - be still my gentle heart. (Potato bread in photo)

Fishs Eddy
889 Broadway,
New York, NY 10003

I once saw this featured briefly on some TV show and then promptly forgot to add it to my NYC "To Do" list. Stumbled upon it walking from Union Square to Eataly. Their story is great, and we (coincidentally, accidentally)  drove past the town called Fishs Eddy on the way home. Overwhelming collection of funky things that make a foodie's heart sing.
